About us
Perspectives Press was founded in 1982 by Patricia Irwin Johnston, a member of a family expanded through two-generations by adopting after infertility (her husband, his siblings and cousins were adopted; her children were adopted). Since then, we’ve been providing everything that’s anything related to
- reproductive health education
- adoption information and education
- choices for treating impaired fertility
- the emotional impact of infertility
- lifestyle alternatives and family building avenues beyond infertility:
- child-free living
- adoption
- collaborative reproduction (donor insemination, surrogacy, donor ova, donor embryo, gestational carrier)
- parenting after infertility and/or in adoption
through…
- books, articles and fact sheets for adults and for children on adoption and infertility
- workshops for consumers and for medical, mental health, counseling and allied professionals on infertility and reproductive health, adoption, and alternative family building
